Clippar Golf Kit — Phone Tripod and Bluetooth Remote for Recording Your Golf Swing

$99.00

Pre-order · ships December 2026

You're charged today and we email you tracking the day it ships. Cancel any time before dispatch for a full refund — no questions, no form to fill in.

We're a new company making our first production run. If that date moves, you'll hear it from us before you hear it anywhere else.

Before you buy

Requires an iPhone running iOS 15.1 or later. There is no Android app — the mount will hold an Android phone, but nothing will clip your shots.

Recording and trimming are free. Automatic highlight reels need Clippar Pro (A$14.99/month or A$99.99/year, free trial).

Cancel any time before dispatch for a full refund. Requires the free Clippar app for iPhone.

  • Rechargeable clicker — USB-C, no coin cells to replace
  • Clamps to any golf buggy rail, cart bar or bag top
  • 5,000mAh power bank — filming is what flattens a phone
  • The app is free — recording, detection and trimming, permanently

Set the phone down, step back, and film the swing. The Clippar Golf Kit is the mount, the remote and the power in one box — everything you need to record yourself on the range or out on the course.

What's in the kit

  • Flexi tripod phone mount — flexible wrap legs and a spring phone clamp. Stand it on flat ground, or wrap the legs around a buggy rail, a fence rail or a bag strap.
  • Bluetooth remote shutter — start and stop recording from up to 20 metres away, instead of walking back to the phone between shots. Recharges over USB-C.
  • 5000mAh slim power bank — attaches directly to the phone, so there is nothing extra to carry or plug in. Filming flattens a phone battery; this is what keeps it alive for a full round.
  • Retractable badge reel — black, with a belt clip. Clips onto a belt or a bag and pulls out on a retracting cord.

The four pieces sit in a moulded insert inside a printed box.

A rechargeable clicker, not a button cell

The Bluetooth remote charges over USB-C. There is no coin-sized button battery in it — none to run flat mid-round, none to hunt down a replacement for, and none sitting loose in a golf bag where a small child could find it.

Made to work with the Clippar app

Clippar picks your swings out of the footage for you, so you are not scrubbing through an hour of video to find six shots. That happens on your phone — the video is processed on the device itself, not uploaded to a server to be looked at.

Requires the free Clippar app for iOS.

Good to know

  • The kit contains a lithium-ion power bank, classified UN3480. It can only be sent by road, within Australia — it cannot go overseas or by air.

The obvious question

The app is free. So what am I paying for?

Fair. You can download Clippar today, prop your phone against your bag, and it will find your swings and trim them for nothing. That is not a trial and it does not expire.

What you are buying is the difference between doing that once and doing it every Saturday. A mount that actually grips a buggy rail over eighteen holes of corrugations. A clicker on your belt, so you are not walking back to your bag between shots. A battery, because filming is the thing that flattens a phone by the fifteenth.

None of it is exotic. It is just the specific set of things you would otherwise buy separately, from three different places, over about a month — and one of them would be wrong.

How Clippar films and edits your round

Free on the App Store, and it works on its own — you don't need the kit to use it.

Film your round

Pick how you're capturing it, and start.
  • Live recording, or import clips you already shot
  • Search the course, set your scorecard
  • A light tells you it's recording — toggle it off if you'd rather be discreet
  • The app scores as you play
  • Add a penalty without taking the phone off the bag
02 / 05

Shot detection

It finds the swing inside each recording and drops the rest.
  • On-device detection of the impact point
  • Every shot in the round, found automatically
  • Skips the walk-up and the walk-away
  • Putts kept full length, so nothing is cut from the green
03 / 05

Auto-editing

Trimmed and assembled before you reach the car park.
  • Auto-trims every shot into one reel
  • Clips land between two and nine seconds
  • Preview any shot, then extend or shorten it
  • Trim by hand if the detection missed
  • Delete the ones you'd rather forget
04 / 05

Sharing

Out in one tap, with the score on the footage.
  • Export the whole round, or just your best holes
  • Share a single shot to the group chat
  • Instagram, Facebook, any social app
  • Save straight to your camera roll
  • Overlay the scorecard on the reel

Your library

Every round kept, and findable.
  • All your rounds on the home screen
  • Filter by course, hole, date or best holes
  • Open a round and see every shot in it
  • See how you've played over time
  • No scrolling the camera roll to find one drive

The kit

Four things. One job each.

A$99, one time. Everything you need to record hands-free, nothing you don't.

01 / 04

The mount

Clamps to your bag or buggy and stays there for the round.
  • Grips a bag frame, buggy handle or cart rail
  • Fits any phone, with or without a case
  • Adjustable angle, wraps on tight
  • Leave it clipped on — no pulling your phone out to score
02 / 04

The clicker

One click starts recording. Click again to stop.
  • Start and stop recording without touching your phone
  • Double-click to move to the next hole
  • Triple-click flags a penalty stroke
  • USB-C rechargeable, not a coin cell — 20m range
03 / 04

The badge reel

Clips the clicker to your belt loop.
  • Keeps the clicker within reach on every shot
  • Stops it getting lost in a bag pocket
04 / 04

The power bank

A 5,000mAh top-up for your phone, mid-round.
  • Attaches directly to your phone
  • Slim enough for a bag pocket
  • Works as an everyday power bank off the course, too

How it works

Click. Swing. Clip.

  1. 01

    Click.

Clamp the mount to your buggy or the top of your bag, drop your phone in and angle it however you like. It stays there for the whole round.

  2. 02

    Swing.

Press the clicker on your belt before you walk up to the ball, and again once you've hit it. That's the entire interaction — the phone never comes off the bag.

  3. 03

    Clip.

The app finds the swing inside each recording and trims it to just the shot, throwing away the walk-up and the walk-away. You finish the round with the round already edited.

Who's behind this

It's one bloke in Brisbane

I built Clippar because I kept finishing rounds with nothing to show for them. The good shots happen, everyone agrees they happened, and then they are gone.

There is no warehouse and no support team — it is me. That is worth knowing before you pre-order, because it means the December date is an honest forecast rather than a logistics department's promise, and if it moves you will hear it from me directly.

It also means you can cancel any time before your kit ships and get everything back, no form and no argument. I would rather refund you than have you wait on something you have stopped wanting.

Questions

Before you order

When will my kit ship?

We're aiming to dispatch in December 2026. This is our first production run, so that is a genuine forecast rather than a date we can already guarantee — and if it moves, we'll email you before you find out any other way.

You can cancel any time before your kit is dispatched and get every cent back.

Why am I paying now for something that ships later?

Fair question. Pre-orders are what let a one-person company commit to a production run at all — we need to know how many to make before we can make any.

What you get in return is the launch price and a place in the first run. What you risk is nothing, because you can cancel for a full refund right up until it ships.

Do I need an iPhone?

Yes. Clippar is iOS only. There is no Android app, and there isn't one coming soon enough to promise you a date.

The mount will physically hold an Android phone, but nothing will detect or clip your shots. If you're on Android, please don't buy this yet.

Is the app free?

Recording, shot detection, trimming, previewing and saving to your camera roll are all free, permanently, with no account limits.

Clippar Pro is a paid subscription and it adds one thing: cloud backup, so your rounds survive a lost or replaced phone. You never need it to use the kit.

Will it fit my bag or buggy?

The mount has three bendable legs with a spring clamp, so it wraps a buggy rail, a cart bar or the top of a carry bag rather than needing a specific fitting.

It grips the phone by width, so a case is fine. If it won't fit whatever you're using, send it back.

How does the clicker work?

It pairs to your phone over Bluetooth and lives on your belt loop on the badge reel. One press starts recording before your shot, one press stops it after.

Two presses move you to the next hole. Three add a penalty stroke to your card. You never take the phone off the bag.

Where do you ship, and what does it cost?

Australia only for now. The kit contains a lithium battery, which means it travels by road freight and cannot go by air — so allow a few business days after dispatch, and we can't currently ship it overseas.

What if I change my mind?

Before dispatch: cancel for a full refund, no reason needed.

After it arrives: you have the rights every Australian buyer has under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing in our terms takes those away. If it's faulty or it isn't what we described, we'll sort it out.

Stop losing your
best shots.

The kit isn't on sale yet. Leave your email and we'll tell you the day it is.
