These terms apply when you buy the Clippar Mount Kit — the phone mount, the Bluetooth clicker and the portable charger. They're separate from our Terms of Service, which cover the app, because buying a physical product and subscribing to software work differently under Australian law and deserve to be written differently.

| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Phone mount | Clamps to a golf bag frame, buggy handle or cart rail and holds a phone at an adjustable angle. Fits standard-sized smartphones with or without a case. |
| Bluetooth clicker | A pocket-sized remote that marks the start and end of a shot so you don't have to walk back to the phone. |
| Portable charger | A rechargeable 5,000 mAh lithium-ion power bank with a built-in USB-C cable, for topping up your phone during a round. We don't publish a hours-of-charge figure, because how far 5,000 mAh goes depends entirely on your phone. |
Price: A$99 for the kit, in Australian dollars, including GST. One kit, everything in it, a one-time payment with no subscription attached to the hardware. Delivery is calculated at checkout and shown to you before you pay.
Product photos are indicative. Colours and minor design details may vary between production runs. If a variation matters to you, ask us before ordering.
Orders are placed on this website and paid through Shopify Payments, Shopify's own checkout. It collects your card details directly — we never see or store your card number.
The kit is not manufactured yet. You are paying now to reserve one from the first production run, which we expect to dispatch in December 2026. That is a genuine estimate, not a promise we have a factory date behind — and it is why you can cancel any time before your kit is dispatched and get the whole amount back, no reason needed. Tell us through the contact form.
If December slips, we will email you and tell you the new date before we take any further orders. If it slips far enough that the kit is no longer any use to you, cancel and we refund you in full.
Placing an order is an offer to buy. Our acceptance happens when we send you an order confirmation, not when the payment goes through. If we can't fill your order — the kit is out of stock, we can't deliver to your address, or the price shown was wrong — we'll tell you and refund you in full. That's the end of it; we won't hold your money against a future order unless you ask us to.
Prices can change, but never for an order we've already confirmed.
The Mount Kit is designed to be used with the Clippar iOS app. Be clear on what that means before you buy:
If the app isn't available in your region, the kit is still a phone mount, a Bluetooth remote and a power bank — but it is built to be used with the app, and there is no reason to buy it otherwise.
We ship within Australia only. That isn't a commercial preference — the kit contains a lithium-ion battery, which is classified as dangerous goods (UN3480) and can't be sent by air or exported without a compliant freight arrangement. We'd rather ship to fewer places properly than to more places badly.
Delivery estimates are estimates. If your parcel is materially late we'll chase the carrier and keep you posted. If it's so late that it's no longer any use to you, tell us — under the consumer guarantees you may be entitled to a refund, and we won't argue about a delivery we got wrong.
Make sure your delivery address is right. If a parcel comes back to us because the address was wrong, we'll re-send it once you've paid the return and re-delivery freight.
The portable charger contains a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Lithium-ion batteries store a lot of energy in a small space. If they're damaged, overheated, short-circuited or charged with the wrong equipment, they can vent, catch fire, or explode. This is rare, and it's also the reason these instructions exist.
If the battery overheats, swells or catches fire, get away from it and call 000. Don't try to smother a lithium fire with a blanket. Then tell us what happened — we have a legal obligation to report serious incidents, and we need to know.
If this product causes injury or property damage, contact us immediately through the contact form, choosing “Safety issue”. Australian law requires us to report a death or serious injury associated with a consumer product to the regulator within two days of becoming aware of it. Reporting it is not us admitting fault — it's how the system is meant to work, and it's how other people get warned.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
In plain terms, the law says the kit must:
These guarantees apply regardless of anything else on this page. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies them, and we won't try to. They aren't limited to a warranty period, either — how long they last depends on what a reasonable person would expect from a product of this type and price, which may be longer than any warranty we offer.
One point specific to this product: if the kit is unsafe, that is automatically a “major failure” under the law. You don't have to accept a repair. You choose between a refund and a replacement.
Send us the details through the contact form — your order number, what's wrong, and a photo if it helps. We'll reply within 2 business days.
For a major failure — the kit is unsafe, it's substantially different from how it was described, it doesn't do what it's meant to and can't easily be fixed, or you wouldn't have bought it had you known — you choose: a refund, or a replacement. Not us. You can also claim compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss the failure caused.
For a minor problem that can be fixed, we'll repair it, replace it, or refund you, within a reasonable time. If we don't fix it in a reasonable time, you can have it fixed elsewhere and claim the reasonable cost back from us, or reject the kit and get a refund.
We pay the return freight on faulty goods. Don't post the battery back to us until we've given you instructions — lithium batteries can't legally be sent by ordinary post or air freight, and we don't want you breaking the law on our behalf. If the charger is damaged or swollen, do not post it at all; tell us and we'll sort out safe disposal and a replacement.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Consumer guarantee claims aren't time-limited by a warranty period — see section 6.
We don't offer a separate manufacturer's warranty, and we're telling you that plainly rather than leaving you to notice it.
That is not us giving you less. A voluntary warranty is an extra promise on top of the law, and it comes with a fixed period — twelve months, twenty-four months — after which people assume they have no rights left. The consumer guarantees in section 6 have no expiry date. How long they last depends on what a reasonable person would expect from a $99 kit, which for a mount and a clicker is a good deal longer than a year.
So if the kit is faulty, don't check a warranty period. Read section 6 and section 7, then tell us through the contact form or at support@clippargolf.com. We pay the return freight on faulty goods.
If we do introduce a warranty against defects later, it will appear here in full, with everything the law requires it to say — and it will be in addition to these guarantees, never instead of them.
The law doesn't require us to refund a change of mind, and we want to be straight with you about that rather than implying a right you don't have.
Before your kit is dispatched, change of mind doesn't cost you anything. This is a pre-order — cancel for any reason, or no reason, and we refund the full amount. See sections 2 and 10.
After delivery, you can return an unopened, unused kit within 30 days for a refund of the purchase price. You pay the return freight. The charger is a lithium battery and can't go through ordinary post, so don't send it yourself — tell us and we'll arrange a compliant service. Once we've received the kit and checked it's unused, we refund you within 5 business days.
To start a change-of-mind return, use the contact form. This matches the refund policy shown to you at checkout — if the two ever disagree, the refund policy at checkout is the one that binds us, and we'll honour whichever is better for you.
Your rights if something is faulty are set out in sections 6 and 7 and are completely unaffected by any of this.
If you want to cancel, tell us through the contact form straight away. If we haven't dispatched yet, we'll cancel and refund you in full. If it's already gone, section 9 applies.
We may cancel an order and refund you in full if we can't source stock, can't deliver to your address, or if the listing showed an obviously wrong price. We'll tell you why.
Ownership and risk pass to you when the kit is delivered to the address you gave us. If it's lost or damaged in transit before then, that's our problem to sort out with the carrier, not yours — tell us and we'll replace it or refund you.
Sections 6 and 7 come first. Nothing here excludes, restricts or modifies your consumer guarantees, or any other right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be contracted out of — including your rights if goods with a safety defect cause injury or damage.
Beyond those rights, and only to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the kit — for example a round that didn't get filmed, or a missed shot. We're not liable for damage caused by using the kit in a way these terms tell you not to, particularly the battery safety instructions in section 5.
We're not responsible for damage to your phone caused by mounting it incorrectly, or by the mount being fitted to a bag or rail it doesn't suit. Check the fit before you leave the clubhouse, and don't ride a cart with a phone mounted where it can be struck.
To ship you a kit we need your name, email and delivery address. Those go into Shopify's checkout and are held by Shopify as the record of the sale, which we're required to keep for five years for tax purposes. Our Privacy Policy explains the rest.
We'll email you about your order. We won't add you to a marketing list because you bought something — if you want product updates, join the waitlist yourself.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland. If you live in another state, this doesn't take away the protection of the consumer laws that apply where you live.
Anything at all about an order, a fault, or the battery: use the contact form. If it's a safety issue, choose that topic and we'll treat it as urgent.
