Hole in one video

Your hole in one, on video.
Remembered.

Nobody films the shot before it goes in. Clippar keeps your phone on the bag facing the tee, and one press of the clicker before each tee shot means that if one ever drops, the video already exists.

Be filming when it happens

Phone holder, Bluetooth clicker, badge reel and power bank, with 3 months of Clippar Pro. It works if you press the clicker before the shot. That's the one habit.

After your 3 included months, Clippar Pro is A$14.99/month or A$99.99/year through Apple, and recording needs it. Cancel any time in your Apple ID settings.

One press on the par-3 tee

Why there's never a video

You can't press record after it goes in.

You'd have to have decided to film that tee shot before you knew. Most people don't film a par 3 on a whim, so most holes in one exist as a story, a scorecard and a round of drinks.

Clippar makes filming the default. The phone sits in a holder on your bag or buggy, facing the tee, and you press a clicker before each shot. The app trims to the swing and draws the ball flight when it can pick the ball up.

The par-3 routine

One press on the tee. That's the routine.

  1. 01

Face the phone at the tee.

On a par 3, clip the holder to your bag or buggy with the tee in frame.

  2. Press before you swing.
    02

    Press before you swing.

The clicker's on your belt, so it's one press, then your normal routine.

  3. Press again after.
    03

    Press again after.

Clippar trims the clip and traces it when it can pick the ball up. Most of them won't go in. You'll have a nice reel of par 3s anyway.

The tracer

The flight, drawn on your tee shot.

This is a real tee shot, filmed on the kit and traced by Clippar. Yours will look like this, minus the bit where it goes in, most weeks.

The tracer works on full swings when it can pick the ball up. When it can't, the shot is left as filmed and you can draw it by hand.

Hole in one video questions

About filming the one that goes in.

How do I get my hole in one on video?

Be filming before you hit. With Clippar the phone sits in a holder on your bag facing the tee and you press a clicker before each shot, so the one that goes in is already recording.

Will Clippar definitely catch it?

Only if you pressed the clicker before the shot and the tee was in frame. It can't film a shot it wasn't recording.

Does a video prove a hole in one?

Your playing partners and your card are what count at your club. The video is for everyone else, and for you in ten years.

Will the ball be traced into the hole?

The tracer draws the ball flight on full swings when it can pick the ball up in your footage. When it can't, the shot is left as filmed, and you can draw the trace in by hand.

What phone do I need?

An iPhone running iOS 15.1 or later, or an Android phone (the app is on Google Play).
